22-250

Postby L.Sherm » Sun Sep 18, 2016 8:27 am

Here is a pic of a Win. 70 that we trued up the action and put an X-caliber 12tw. 22 cal barrel on it has diamond fluting also. I will also try and post a pic of the target i just got done shooting yesterday. Having trouble posting pics :? The load was 35.6 of IMR 4064 using 50gr. Sierra blitzkings. It was windy and only the 3rd charge I tried started at 35.0. Fed 210 primer. OAL was 2.45 I didn't even mess with seating depth so with better conditions and tuning it could probably be better, was shot at 100yds. The group measured.572 outside to outside minus the .224 comes out to .348 if my math is right

Sherm,

Upload the pic to www.tinypic.com and then copy the link and post it so the picture will show up. If you have trouble with it you can text or email the pic to me and I will post it.

Sherm,

Good job. That's a fine looking rifle and a shooter too. What length and contour is the x-caliber barrel?

It's a 25" barrel. We copied the factory barrel conture it's like a #4 med.sporter just a touch bigger .640 at the end.

L.Sherm--That is a nice looking rifle!!! The wood is nice to look at and that fluting on the barrel adds a nice flair to the weapon. The targets look pretty good too. Any idea what kind of velocity you are obtaining with those loads.
