Bedding scope bases

Postby RedMist » Sun Jan 06, 2013 11:12 pm

Anyone take the time to do this regularly ? I have a Savage Model 12 in 6-47L that I don't have a scope for yet, but picked up some used Burris Signature ZEE rings for a decent price so wanted to try it. I used Devcon and it worked well, based seem to sit nicer. The mounting screws once resistance is felt, get tight very quickly. Phone pics, but you get the idea.

I have never bedded 2 pc bases but always bed my one pc base. I have never had devcon on hand so I just use the JB weld from the junk drawer. Works great.

I'll have to try the JB weld next time. Thanks for the tip.
